Smoking

I'm trying to quit smoking. Is anyone out there who can share their success of getting rid of this nasty habit?

RE: Smoking

Sooooo, are you still not smoking? I hope it's going well for you.

over a month

I'm going already over a month without a cigarette. I feel grate and have more energy. I'm still smoking electronic cigarettes but very rarely. I know they are pretty bad for you to but they helped me dramatically with quiting. Have you heard about any side effect of electronic cigarettes?

I haven't heard anything

I haven't heard anything about them one way or another. Sounds like you're doing well though.

Re: quit smoking

I quit when I had my wisdom teeth taken out many years ago. I think it was easy because of the pain medication I was taking after the oral surgery...That or perhaps I just had a made-up mind. Tere are some supplements you can take that are helpful. One is vitamin B-3 (also called niacin or nicotinic acid). I can't remember the whole protocol right now though. I'll see if I can either remember it or find it for you and I'll post. You can totally do it!

I'm totally doing it... I have Nicotinic Acid and I got those electronic cigarettes instead of chewing gum. It works so far. It's my fifth day....yeee

RE: I'm totally doing it

Awesome! I have only craved smokes a few times since I quit and every time I tried I got really really nauseous. That's a good thing. Mostly I can't even imagine how I ever smoked to begin with. You should take up running or something strenuous- that might be good for motivation and tracking progress.
